Louis Bury

Louis Bury teaches literature at NYU, is a part-time professional poker player, and is an English Ph.D. candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center, where he is at work on a constraint-based dissertation about constraint-based writing. The above poems were written on New York City mass transit according to the Oulipian procedure known as "subway poetry": write one line per stop; start a new stanza whenever you transfer trains or buses; no revision permitted afterwards.
