By Gabriel DonGabriel Don is a multidisciplinary artist or renaissance woman who works in a variety of mediums: a filmmaker, artist, photographer, musician and writer. She received her MFA in creative writing at The New School, where she worked as the Reading Series and Chapbook Competition Coordinator. Don currently teaches writing at BMCC. Her short stories are forthcoming in publications such as Gargoyle 70 and her poetry collection, Living Without Skin, is forthcoming with A Gathering of The Tribes, Fly By Night Press.

By Hoa NguyenBorn in the Mekong Delta and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Hoa Nguyen is the author of five books of poetry, including As Long As Trees Last and Red Juice. Her book Violet Energy Ingots, also from Wave Books, received a 2017 Griffin Prize for poetry nomination. She teaches poetics at Ryerson University, for Miami University’s low residency MFA program, for the Milton Avery School for Fine Arts at Bard College, and in a long-running, private workshop.

If This Is Paradise Why Are We Still Driving

Over two decades in the making, Brendan Lorber’s first full-length book just came out. It’s called If this is paradise why are we still driving? and is published by the Subpress Collective. He’s also written several chapbooks, most recently Unfixed Elegy and Other Poems (Butterlamb). Since 1995 he has published and edited Lungfull! Magazine, an annual anthology of contemporary literature that prints the rough drafts of contributors’ work in addition to the final versions in order to reveal the creative process. He lives atop the tallest hill in Brooklyn, New York, in a little castle across the street from a five-hundred-acre necropolis. Todd Colby is a Brooklyn-based poet and artist. Colby is the author of six books of poetry. His most recent book, Splash State,was published by The Song Cave in 2014. His writing and art have recently appeared in Bomb Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Denver Quarterly, Dizzy Magazine, and Poetry Magazine
